VERY FINE EUROPE AND SCANDINAVIA COLLECTION IN 7 SPRING BACK ALBUMS. Nicely presented collection with the vast majority of stamps being in very fine mint or used condition (chiefly mint), last collected over 50 years ago and stored so the stamps have kept remarkable freshness, at some point a few collections have had pencil cat values added at the bottom of some pages but they are out of date, the current owner re-catalogued a few albums but didn't rub the original figures out. Briefly we see Denmark 1851 - 1960's starts with the 1851 4rbs (2), 1854-59 range to 8sk & 16sk with full margins plus further comprehensive ranges throughout; France 1944 - 1967 apparently complete mint collection with extra items, we see the 1949-50 Airs set with the 1000f never hinged; Germany West & Berlin 1946 - 1960's comprehensive m & u with better items; Iceland 1882 - 1960's with many of the better issues such as the 1931 Zeppelin set mint; Italy 1862 - 1967 comprehensive with better such as the 1948 Centenary of the Revolution set mint (£550) plus so many more good stamps & sets; Norway 1855 - 1960's comprehensive from the 1855 4sk imperf with many better items, stc £4000+; Sweden 1872 - 1962 comprehensive collection stc £1800+; Switzerland 1852 - 1960's comprehensive with a few faulty earlies but chiefly very fine, stc £5000+. A tremendous collection built by the same philatelist who clearly cared about quality.
