HINDENBURG FLIGHT COVER GERMANY 1937 (1 May) cover bearing four stamps tied by "Frankfurt (Main)" cds cancel, with red "Luftshiff Hindenburg Deutschlandfahrt am 1. Mai 1937" and boxed "Wegen Ausfalls der Deutschlandfahrt Postabwurf bei Nordamerikafahrt" cachets alongside, plus "Koln" cds on reverse. The flight had been cancelled but the mail was later carried on the fatal North American flight and dropped near Koln.
