1881 registered envelope (opened for display) from Yenisehir to Kadikoy (Constantinople) bearing on address side the 1876 1k yellow & 1881 2k flesh stamps tied Yenisehir double rectangular boxed pmks, on reverse an example of the 1881 1k yellow with blue octagonal "LOCAL" overprint applied on arrival and tied by Galata cds of 27 Nov with Dersaadet cds's of 27 Nov alongside. A RARE FRANKING of the "SEHIR / LOCAL" stamp which was restricted to post cards only, extremely unusual on a registered envelope. Part of back flap repaired. ISFILA photo certificate accompanies.
