1901-17 RARE COMPLETE SHEET. 1a blue imperf Setting 27, 2nd state (very ink-clogged late printings), the so-called "CLEANED LETTERING" variety showing large white patches around the letters of the inscriptions (SG 26, Scott 23, Hellrigl/Vignola 27), used very scarce COMPLETE SHEET OF 64 cancelled by telegraphic cancels, includes nine inverted cliches (SG 26a, Scott 23a) at positions 15, 18, 27, 37, 40, 41, 51 & 64, plus various plate flaws incl 'wide cut' (position 10), 'vertical bar' (position 58), 'white patch' (position 61) etc. Very rare - Hellrigl/Vignola states that only three telegraphically used sheets of this "cleaned lettering" variety are known, a great display item. ex the Singer collection.
