The Regatta festival with boat races is traditionally held in the month of Taw-tha-lin (September). It is a display of proof of the Burmese king’s royal navy for defense or flotillas of warships and boats of different sizes. The forces are believed to have been well recruited, trained and maintained by the State. The stamp also features Wagaung's seasonal flower Yinmar [Chukrasia tabularis].
