\Y SICILY - 1859 RARE DOUBLE PRINTING\Y 20 gr. slate grey, a mint example of this classic first issue, showing stunning DOUBLE PRINTING (Doppia Stampa) variety, listed in Sassone as 13e and described as being only partial, of which this stamp shows the doubling at right side, although known of, it remains unpriced. A clean Sorani 2012 photo certificate accompanies, and commented by him that he had never seen one before; note, the 1 Gr. is the only value that Sassone price at €8,000 (£7000) mint, of which there are believed to be at least ten known; OF CONSIDERABLE RARITY and in fine condition.
