1925 (May 13), Marchese de Pinedo World Flight, Calcutta-Melbourne. Right portion of cover, affixed with India KGV. ½a and 1½a and addressed to Sydney, Australia, red "Italian Consul General's (Melbourne) letter of 12-11-25, No. 750 / 11, Calcutta to Melbourne by Seaplane, 13/5/25" cachet, violet "Italian World Air Flight" plane over India cachet on reverse, also signed by H.A. Outhwaite (President of the Aero Philatelic Club of India) and initialed by Stephen Smith, very fine. These covers were intentionally cut which had the signature of de Pinedo after a promised charity donation failed to occur, only 93 letters were carried to Australia (51 addressed to Mrs. M. Venters, and 42 (incl. this one) to E. Lawrence Esq.). All the 93 part covers were sent back by the Royal Ialian Consul for Australia (his letter No. 750/11) to A. Hales Esq., Calcutta.
Value Add Taxes (19%) will be added to the hammer price and the buyers premium.

Christoph Gärtner made his hobby into his profession. He started in 1984 and within two decades the Gärtner GmbH developed into a world leading mail order house for postal stationery and became a specialist for thematics and postal history.
In april 2005 the idea to build a place where collectors, customers and investors from all over the world could meet, was realized.
Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
