1840-2009 COMPREHENSIVE COLLECTION of M & U housed in eight Windsor albums, Vol. 1 1840-1951 incl. 1840 1d & 2d (3 of each), 1841 1d & 2d range, Perf Line Engraved Stars U, Penny Plate numbers run through of plates to 224 M or unused, Pl.225 U, 2d Plates U, ½d Plates M (Pl.9 U), 1½d (3) unused/M, Embossed set + several extras (cut to shape), Surface Printed U ranges (excl. 2s brown) incl. 1869 10s Perfin, later QV with vals incl. £1 brown Crowns, £1 green (poor), KEVII M ranges to 5s, 10s & £1 U, the condition up to & including the issues of KEVII is very mixed throughout. From KGV onwards the condition improves. Apart from the basics we note Downey 'no Cross on Crown' pair M, inverted wmks, 1912 Royal Cypher basic plus some inverted wmks e.g. 6d, 7d, 9d agate & 1s. 1924 Block Cypher 1½d tete beche pair M, range inverted wmks up to 9d, 1929 £1 PUC M, sideways set U inverted (3) M, 1924 Photogravure set UM, Sideways set M, KGVI complete. Vol. 2 1952-67 appears complete Wildings, Graphites, commems, phosphors, noted - some better commems with inverted wmks (many with decent catalogue value). Vol. 3-5 1970-2004 appears complete. Vol. 6 booklet panes 1958-2009 appears complete. Vol. 7 & 8 booklet panes 1972-2009 appears complete. Officials incl. some scarcer M or U, noted - varieties 1896 ½d vermilion & 1d lilac OFFICIAI for OFFICIAL - both M, SG.041a/2a. A substantial collection with the earlier material in mixed quality, later includes some better material. Viewing recommended.
