An interesting collection of stampless 'On Active Service' used postcards & covers bearing various cachets & censor marks inc Red Cross "On Active Service / Medtn", "Received from H.M. Ship / No Charge to Be Raised", "1st Battalion Rifle Brigade", "Censored / J.D. McC.", "Army Post Office SZ 7", "SX 2" & "H.D. 1" cds's, many items related to the Dardanelles campaign, card with message saying: 'You would think it impossible to kill more Turks than we have done but there seems plenty left', 1917 printed 'Church Army Recreation Huts for H.M. Forces' cover with original letter on letterhead paper saying: 'The Germans are getting it a bit to hot for their likeing. They can say good bye to Paris..." Very attractive.
