1940/41, Universal Midget-meter mark covers, all registered covers from American Express Co. HK branch to SF headquarters: small sizes (3, creases and small tears due to very thin air mail stock) by clipper air mail $1.25 x3 of Dec. 1940, $1.25 x5 + 75c + 25c of May resp. June 1941, the June one with censor tape. Larger size (285x170 mm) surface mail (2) both pmkd. 22 MR 41 $1.25 + 25 C. (2) resp. $1.25+15C+5C. Total five items. - HK meters of Universal midget-machines are generally very scarce. The "international meter mark handbook" states that up to now only one cover with 75c usage and four covers with $1.25 usages are reported.
Value Add Taxes (19%) will be added to the hammer price and the buyers premium.

Christoph Gärtner made his hobby into his profession. He started in 1984 and within two decades the Gärtner GmbH developed into a world leading mail order house for postal stationery and became a specialist for thematics and postal history.
In april 2005 the idea to build a place where collectors, customers and investors from all over the world could meet, was realized.
Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
