POSTAGE DUES - CUMULATIVE CHARGES bilingual Post Office "P.538" form with large quantities of mostly 1958 1s postage due applied to the reverse, all connected to the business of the "A.B.C. Shoe Company" in Port Elizabeth. Form reads "PARCELS addressed to A.B.C. Shoe Co. the particulars of which are shown below, await delivery at the Parcels Office." Each form has a long list of (assume) parcel numbers with the associated charges shown & totalled, dues applied to reverse of form to pay the charge. As charges shown don't tally with the dues applied, perhaps just the forms with the postage dues applied were retained for accounting purposes. All cancelled during 1958, three forms largely intact, each with over 70 dues applied to each, forming charges of £3 4s, £3 14s 8d & £1 11s. Amazing survival, stamps alone cat.£3778 (5 forms).
