SOUTH WEST AFRICA 1915 (28 JAN) RARE ROSSING MANUSCRIPT CANCEL South African Forces stampless postcard endorsed "Feldpost" to Outjo showing a superb example of the extremely rare "ROSSING" manuscript cancel altered by hand over Swakopmund date stamp type 144 (Friedemann type FP. 7), with full message in German on the reverse. A translation for the message tells that these cards were found in the saddlebag of a runaway English horse, and that the "Tommies" were not far away. In good condition, with GROBE guarantee on reverse. One of the highest rated items in the Friedemann handbook, and quite possibly unique.
