1875, Briefkuvert von Walpole, Mass., USA to Mühlhausen, Elsass und weitergeleitet nach Rouen, Frankreich, frankiert mit zwei US 'Washington' 3c. grün entwert mit schwarzem Korkstempel, daneben "PD" im Kästchen, Abgangsstempel "WALPOLE/OCT/8" und rote Transitstempel, in Mühlhausen frankiert mit Deutschen "Pfennige" 10 Pf. und 20 Pf. und mit Datumstempel vom 29.10.75 entwertet, weitere französische Transit- und Ankunftstempel rückseitig. ÷ 1875. Envelope addressed to Alsace bearing Yvert 41, 3c green (2) tied by cork cancel with adjacent Walpole/Mass date stamp routed via New York with French entry cachet and forwarded to Rouen bearing Germany Yvert 32, 10pf rose and Yvert 33, 20pf blue tied by Mulhouse date stamp. Nice combination.

In april 2005 the idea to build a place where collectors, customers and investors from all over the world could meet, was realized.
Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
