1760 Austria Seven Years War battle map - Field Marshall von Daun. Original manuscript (hand-drawn) map showing the position of the KuK / Imperial-Royal Austrian forces in the Seven Year's War, as organized lead by the Count Leopold Joseph von Daun. On period hand-laid paper. The Seven Year's War was a global war with conflicts across the Western world -- its front in America is usually called the French and Indian War. In Europe Britain, France, Prussia and others were facing off, and Count von Daun inflicted Frederick the Great's first defeat on him. The forces shown in this campaign were deployed against Prussian forces in Saxony -- Bischofswerda, Bautzen, Weissenberg, etc. Title in French, which was often used as the 'court' language even by non-native speakers, much as English is often used as a 'global' language today. This is a one-of-a-kind map, a primary historical source for the student of this conflict. This sheet actually has two different two maps - one on the front and one on the reverse. The first shows the right wing of the marching army on July 17, 1760. The second shows the encampment of the KuK Army by Klein-Foerstgen.

In april 2005 the idea to build a place where collectors, customers and investors from all over the world could meet, was realized.
Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
