1860 Napoleon 80c. rose-carmine TÊTE-BÊCHE pair along with three in horizontal strip of five plus single, all used on folded letter from Lyon to SYROS, Greece via Marseilles, all tied by large numeral "2145", with "LYON/27/FEVR/63" despatch c.d.s. and small boxed "PD" in red on face, Marseilles transit datestamps as well as Syros '23. Feb. 63' arrival c.d.s. on the reverse. The strip of five with wide margins all round, the single slightly touched laterally, a vertical cover fold through the strip of five between 2nd and 3rd stamp and minor imperfections on cover's back, but nevertheless still good condition so far, signed Calves. AN EXTRAORDINARY EXAMPLE OF THIS RARE TÊTE-BÊCHE PAIR WITHIN A STRIP OF FIVE & USED ON A COVER TO THE AEGEAN ISLAND SYROS.

In april 2005 the idea to build a place where collectors, customers and investors from all over the world could meet, was realized.
Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
