Huge margins to just in at right, used with horizontal pair 1852, 25c Blue on Bluish, huge to ample margins including traces of adjoining stamp at top left, all stamps tied by diamond grid cancel, 'Assemblee Nationale Postes 21 Aout '51' double-circle datestamp on European-size 1851 cover to Boston Mass., clear strike of 'Ligne-De-Calais 24 Aout '51' backstamp, boxed 'PD' handstamp, sent through Great Britain via closed mail so no transit markings, carried on Cunarder America from Liverpool Aug. 23, arriving Boston Sep. 4, '5' due handstamp. Extremey fine. A beautiful use of the 1849 issue one-franc and pair of the 25-centimes on cover to Boston via British Packet.
