A large ring binder album (earlier pages are printed spaces) of over 2000 stamps from classics (fewer) through very strong mid period 1930-60 approx up to 1970s either vfu or mvlh (there are probably some mnh) in generally fine/superb condition with just a good selection of the toal shown, but not all pages. Includes such as mint 20f Pont du Gard as well as the other values in the set very fine mint from 2f. Also lots of the higher value relief fund sets mint as well as fine airmails (the view of Paris marginal mint etc). There is a written list from a previous owner suggesting a cat. value of over £8,000 (not verified). Also included a collection of around 200 covers and cards from a number of earlier 20thC through mid 20thC and a group of around 20 or so more modern commercial covers. Lots of airmail covers with an interesting mix of multistamp frankings, some FM covers, a few fdcs, some used/unused postcards, odd maxi card. Some mixed condition with rough opening, edge wear to some but many good covers/cards.
Finally an Interesting collection of I think 26 items with the majority being varied bills/receipts (for hats, wine, cotton etc) all being postally used (Ceres & Napoleon except for one later cover using a Decoratif Arts stamp) with a fine variety of postmark interest. TPO postmarks such as Lyon a Marseilles, Marseilles a Paris, Strasbourg a Paris, Belfort a Paris, Lyon a Paris, Paris a Bale, Langres a Paris, Paris a Besancon, Avricourt a Paris. Also lots of Station (Gare) postmarks such as Gare de Tournus, Gare de Lons le Sammier (?), Gare de Bar le Luc, Gare de Tonnerre, Gare de Montbeliard, Gare de Belfort, Gare de Troyes, Gare d'Arras, Gare de Lille, Gare de Villefranche S.Saone. Also odd scalloped edge postmark, inc Pontanevaux, Anse (with LY.MAC in centre). Some commercial cachets and some Chemin de Fer Secretariat General cachets (Paris a Lyon seen). Some faults, usually around the wax seal but a fine lot with good postal history research value?
