1856 Oval issue, 5 Kopeck blue with large pearls, TÊTE-BÊCHE PAIR with traces of an almost invisible manuscript cancel. One stamp with a very faint crease otherwise in fine and fresh condition. This very rare tête-Bêche DOES NOT EXIST IN UNUSED CONDITION and of all Oval tête-bêche it is the rarest with ONLY 15 RECORDED (for comparison 34 of the 10 Kopeck are known and 23 of the 5 Kop. small pearls). Ex Fabergé collection (Harmer auctions 1940) and in the 1967 Grobe auction (Hannover) it was even described as unused, for this reason the Michel still notes this stamp as existing in mint. Certificate Cyril Schwenson. This MAJOR FINLAND RARITY is valued in Michel at 50.000 EUR (quite underpriced compared to the other values).
This Lot is under the margin tax system (§25a UStG). The VAT (MWSt) is not displayed seperate on the bill.

In april 2005 the idea to build a place where collectors, customers and investors from all over the world could meet, was realized.
Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
