1937-49 KGVI VERY FINE USED - AWESOME SPECIALISED COLLECTION! displayed in an album with pages neatly written up, this amazing collection shows very fine c.d.s. used stamps, arranged by issue and then by printing date (the excellent Potter & Shelton guide list to this country is included). This fastidious collector also sought out stamps & covers postmarked at different islands in order to enhance the collection. The collection begins with GRAHAM LAND 1944 set plus a number of specialised shades, Victory & UPU sets used on covers with Graham Land cancels, SOUTH GEORGIA includes 1937 Coronation & 1938-50 KGVI defins to 1s3d & 10s value, plus 1937 Coronation, 1946 Victory & 1949 UPU sets used on covers - all with South Georgia postmarks, also 1944-5 ovpts set plus specialised shades, SOUTH ORKNEYS 1944-5 ovpts set plus specialised shades, also 1946 Victory set in blocks of 4 and same on FDC (17th January 1947- see SG footnote) with Maps set also affixed, SOUTH SHETLANDS 1944-5 ovpts set plus specialised shades, plus 3d Victory & UPU set used on covers with S. Shetlands cancels, collection continues with 1946-9 Maps issues, again with specialised shades, note 6d black & ochre, plus all values with "Gap in 80th Parallel" variety, again in specialised shades and again incl. 6d black & ochre, also see Maps thin & clear set.
