1878 - 1929 SPECIALISTS CAREFUL COLLECTION. A collection of very fine mint and used (mostly mint) in hingeless mounts affixed on to the relevant pages of "The De La Rue Definitives of the Falkland Islands 1901 - 1929" by Bunt. The earlier QV displayed with the Preface page and the 1901 stamps onwards alongside the technical information on each stamp. Briefly (all stamps mint unless otherwise stated) the collection begins with 1878-79 6d SG 3, 1891-02 definitives set to 9d, also used with identified shades to 9d incl 2½d Prussian blue SG 29, 1898 5s red, 1912-20 basic set to the scarcer 5s reddish maroon SG 67a, plus a range of additional shades & a 5s deep rose-red used on piece, 1921-28 Wmk Mult Script range to 3s slate-green used SG 80, finally the 1929-37 Whale and Penguin set to 10s with extra line perf stamps to 4d & 1s.
