BOER WAR 1901 censored cover written by William Louw to his mother from Colesberg Gaol, and censored 22.NOV.1901, the night before he was executed for treason by the British. It was posted NO.23.01, the day he died. Louw, a Cape Boer had been found guilty of treason for joining Boer Forces, by a military court on 4 November. His mother was a daughter of Rev Andrew Murray and was married to the Rev. A. A. Louw.
