BOER WAR 1901 censored cover from Ceylon with a 6c cancelled Diyatalawa JA 01. On arrival at Bethulie, the cover could not be delivered, probably because the farm had been burned down by the British & the occupants removed. It was redirected to the Norval's Pont Refugee Camp, but on arrival a 'Not known at Refugee Camp' was handwritten. The cover was eventually returned to Ceylon, arriving Colombo SP.30.01 (nine months after sending). Cover has been opened out for display.
