PUBLIC AUCTION – POSTAGE STAMPS OF THE WORLD

1914 (25 Oct.)-16 selection with envelope and cards (10) each showing 'N.Z. MILITARY POST OFFICE/EXPEDITIONARY FORCE' framed datestamp in violet, one from the Tahiti in Ceylon with the date reduced to a jumble of bars and blotches for security reasons, one to London with light 'CENSOR,/NEW ZEALAND' handstamp in violet; fair to very fine strikes. Also 1914 (9 Sept.) picture postcard (no postal markings) of Wellington written on board 'Transport No. 7'.
