43rd Christoph Gärtner Auction - February 20th, 2019 - Europe, Germany, Picture Postcards

1916. (8h) pale blue/old white "Sword" type parcel card accompanying a parcel of 2kg of tabacco to a soldier at the Reserve Hospital, Osijek (OSIJEK/ c 2 c/ 916 SEP 7", unable to deliver therefore readdressed to POZEGA, where ornamented "POZEGA/ 9 / 16.SEP.17" was applied together with 5f charges, paid with 5f pale green and black (Michel 112) of "Turul" type definitives, tied by another similar POZEGA pmk. The address was finally located and the parcel was collected on 19 September, when the duty officer signed for the parcel and applied the unit cachet in violet. Various folding faults, nevertheless most interesting.

Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
