43rd Christoph Gärtner Auction - February 20th, 2019 - Europe, Germany, Picture Postcards

1911, 8H blue “Sword” type parcel card, accompanying two parcels (M.P.A. Foca, No’s 94 & 95) to SAMOBOR, containing suits, weight 5.2 kg. and 8.2 kg. respectively, additional charges worked out as 3K90, composed of 45(H) brownish-red, Perf L9¼ (SG 197B, one at front, one at back), 1K lake (SG 199) and 2K myrtle-green (SG 200), the last two IMPERF, with extraordinarily small margins, tied by five strikes of “K. UND K. MILIT. POST/ a/ FOCA, 12.II.11”, at back “SAMOBOR/ A/ 911 FEB. 15” arrival and smaller “SAMOBOR, 911 FEB. 16” distributing PM. Very scarce thus.

Christoph Gärtner made his hobby into his profession. He started in 1984 and within two decades the Gärtner GmbH developed into a world leading mail order house for postal stationery and became a specialist for thematics and postal history.
In april 2005 the idea to build a place where collectors, customers and investors from all over the world could meet, was realized.
Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
