1948-1999 EXPEDITION COVERS COLLECTION wonderful collection of covers produced to commemorate the many different expeditions to this area of Antarctica, covers bearing various special expedition & research stations postmarks and cachets, incl. 1948-55 covers & cards with Australian stamps tied by cancels from various Antarctic bases, many covers bearing various AAT issues, incl. signed covers, illustrated covers, ship cachets, special flights, helicopter flights, first day covers from the different stations (stamps were available later, on later dates, at the remote stations) and covers with labels.
