- ‘The remarkable story of one of World War Two’s unsung heroes, Sqn Ldr Edward ‘Teddy’ Blenkinsop, DFC, CdeG (Belge), RCAF.’ Op 27 april 1944 komt de Lancaster van de Canadees Blenkinsop, na een geallieerd bombardement, neer bij het dorpje Montzen (Plombières). Als enige overlevende van de crash wordt hij opgevangen door het Belgische verzet en al snel neemt hij ook deel aan hun acties. Tijdens de fameuze Duitse vergeldingsoperatie op Meensel-Kiezegem wordt hij gearresteerd. Hij wordt niet beschouwd als krijgsgevangene, maar als misdadiger. Uiteindelijk bezwijkt hij in het concentratiekamp van Bergen-Belsen. In Meensel-Kiezegem is voor hem een monument opgericht.
