Il marchio Talis Watch risale al 1917 ed era un produttore ben dotato di orologi automatici di alta qualità e resistenti agli urti dalla sua base a La Chaux-au-Fonds, in Svizzera.
La Chaux-au-Fonds, è una piccola città con sede a 1.000 metri nelle montagne del Giura ed è stata descritta come la capitale mondiale dell'orologeria. Altri marchi con sede in città includono Rolex, Patek Phillpe, Tissot, Ebel e Omega.
Talis ha continuato a produrre orologi di alta qualità dalla Svizzera fino agli anni '70, quando la rivoluzione al quarzo ha portato alla scomparsa del marchio.

The Talis Watch Brand dates back to 1917 and was a well reendowed maker of high quality, shock resistant automatic watches from its base in La Chaux-au-Fonds, Switzerland.
La Chaux-au-Fonds, is a small town based 1,000 meters up in the Jura Moutains and has been described as the watch making capital of the world. Fellow brands based in the town include Rolex, Patek Phillpe, Tissot, Ebel & Omega.
Talis continued to produce high quality watches from Switzerland until the 1970’s when the Quartz revolution resulted in the demise of the brand.
