Bank Negara Malaysia has issued commemorative coins in conjunction with 2017 being the 100th Anniversary of the Malaysian Palm Oil Industry. These commemorative coins were launched by YB Datuk Seri Mah Siew Keong, Minister of Plantation Industries & Commodities at the Museum and Art Gallery, Bank Negara Malaysia, Sasana Kijang, Kuala Lumpur on 27 July 2017. Specifications of the commemorative coins are as follows: Year of issue : 9th August 2017 Face Value : RM 1 Metal : Nordic Coin Condition : Brilliant Uncirculated Mintage : 13,000 pcs only (considered as very small quantity)
