- Rijkelijk geïllustreerde catalogus bij de gelijknamige tentoonstelling. Uitzonderlijk beeldmateriaal over de bijna 1,5 miljoen Belgen die op de vlucht sloegen voor het oorlogsgeweld. De meesten keerden na enkele maanden terug, maar toch bleven er ongeveer 600.000 meer dan vier jaar weg van huis: ca. 300.000 in Frankrijk, ca. 200.000 in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en ca. 100.000 in Nederland. De opvang was er heel verschillend, maar werd naar het einde van de oorlog toe overal problematisch. Top-fotoboek met ook veel onuitgegeven beeldmateriaal over de Westhoek.
