- Referentiewerk over het Westelijk front met vele honderden foto’s van monumenten, sites, musea e.d. Deze dateren van de jaren ’70 en tonen vaak zaken die vandaag niet meer bewaard of geheel anders ingericht zijn. Vooral voor het Ieperfront een essentieel referentiewerk. De auteur werkte voor het Imperial War Museum en vertoefde jaarlijks meerdere weken in Ieper. Bij testament maakte ze ook haar uitgebreide bibliotheek over aan de stad Ieper. Er bestaan recentere, na haar dood bijgewerkt edities van dit boek, maar de oudere (zoals deze) zijn beter gezien deze veel details bevatten over plaatsen in de Westhoek die je enkel in deze leest. Van dit boek is via deze verkoper eveneens een Franstalige editie beschikbaar.
