What about the idea of creating an on-line catalogue of all souvenir sheets of European countries?
Any volunteers to give ideas and collaborate in such a project?
Just give your oppinion...
Thanks
hola joriba,
it has been a long time since we shared space on the forum. your idea has merit as there are souvenir sheets that are unlisted in many catalogs esp. scott. and i for one welcome any and all philatelic websites that give me aid in researching items in my collection. good luck in your project. and a great new year 2008.

Hi Cajun,
Thanks for your support.
It would be a great thing if we, collectors could access a catalogue on-line and in printable format (Adobe Acrobat - .PDF)
But for that help is needed like a French collector that provide the data for French souvenir sheets and a German collector for German souvenir sheets.

I'm waiting for the first ones...

Hi Joriba,
Great idea indeed.
I suggest you visit Link (http) which is a fairly new site for collectors.
It is not a site to sell items but more of an exchange of philatelic knowledge site. It is still in its infancy, but more and more people are joining everyday.
On this site you are given the opportunity to start your own "specialized" group, post discussion topics, blogs, and more.
I have my own group on Endangered Species and the more people we are the better and more informative it will become.
Take a few minutes and go check it out, it's worth the visit. Once there contact me I am interested in your idea. I could probably give you a hand with Hungarian S.S. and M.S., since I have a ton of them.

Hi,
Myself and some other professional dealers across Europe are starting to look into the production of a new world catalogue which covers all aspects of Philately. This will not be a 'market price' catalogue but more of a reference for Philatelists. As you can imagine it is a MASSIVE task in terms of data acquirement and input and so it may take some time before the project is completed. It will only be available via CDROM (probably DVD) with download for new issue updates. It will of course contain all MS.
I will from time to time post further information on progress and I do know that the next step in its development will be completed by mid March.
