Old postcards of Ypres     Mon 17th Mar 2008 23:33:17

Foreign

I am trying to sell an album of 20 postcard views of Ypres - 10 before the 1914-1918 and the same 10 views after the war for a very elderly lady, a friend of mine.

Each page is a set of two postcards, perforated (before and after the war) with an interleving sheet of tissue paper between each page (one sheet missing). The last two have become separated along the perforation lines.

The album cover has a stamp on the front, in red, a picture in relief of the Halles aux Draps, du Belfrol et du Portail Sud de la Cathedrale in a red circle, on a cream cover. On the reverse is a red circle with NELS in the centre and Ern. THLL, Bruxelles, underneath in red. They appear to be undated.

The quality seems good i.e. no marks and edges of cards still sharp and intact.

This is the first time I have tried to do this and would be grateful for any information with regard to asking price.

Thanking you in anticipation. :help:
